In the opening 2 minutes of our film, the only two characters that are seen are Charlotte and Kieran.
Charlotte is a typical young woman that is moving into a new house and she is dressed stereotypical clothes that is what people would wear in todays society. In horror films, there is always one person that is known as normal, and in this case this is charlotte. There is nothing mysterious about her therefore this doesn't effect the way that the audience will look at her. On the other hand Kieran is seen as the weird creepy figure that is always in horror films. The main character,the 'normal' one, is stereotypically plain and simple. They will show this by giving the character a very basic life and story line. This is so that when the horror character comes into their life it makes it interesting and unordinary.
